About the Role

As an SEN Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons tailored to the diverse needs of SEN students.
  • Create and maintain a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies to support students.
  • Provide one-on-one and small-group support for students with autism, ADHD, and other learning difficulties.
  • Collaborate with teachers and SENCOs to adapt resources and lesson plans.
  • Build strong relationships with students to encourage participation and engagement.
  • Maintain accurate records and provide feedback on student progress.

What We're Looking For

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Experience: At least 6 months of working with children in a school or SEN setting (preferred).
  • Knowledge of SEN: A strong understanding of autism, ADHD, and strategies to support diverse needs.
  • Classroom Management Skills: The ability to adapt to different learning environments.
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to build trust with students and staff.
  • Passion: A genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of children with additional needs.
