About the Role
As an SEN Cover Supervisor, you will:
- Deliver pre-prepared lessons tailored to the diverse needs of SEN students.
- Create and maintain a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies to support students.
- Provide one-on-one and small-group support for students with autism, ADHD, and other learning difficulties.
- Collaborate with teachers and SENCOs to adapt resources and lesson plans.
- Build strong relationships with students to encourage participation and engagement.
- Maintain accurate records and provide feedback on student progress.
What We're Looking For
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Experience: At least 6 months of working with children in a school or SEN setting (preferred).
- Knowledge of SEN: A strong understanding of autism, ADHD, and strategies to support diverse needs.
- Classroom Management Skills: The ability to adapt to different learning environments.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to build trust with students and staff.
- Passion: A genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of children with additional needs.
