Maths Teacher, Oldham, Easter Start

Job Description:

Hays Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Maths Teacher to join a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) starting after Easter. This role is ideal for a passionate educator with strong behaviour management skills and experience working with students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

About the School:This PRU, located in Greater Manchester, supports pupils aged between 10 and 16 who are unable to access mainstream school. This includes students with behavioural problems, those who have been permanently excluded, or those who cannot attend for medical reasons. The PRU offers a nurturing and safe environment to re-engage pupils in their learning, providing a holistic educational experience to support children and young people with complex needs. The school strives for excellence in delivering a high-quality curriculum that includes academic qualifications and subjects to develop personal, social, and emotional skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective maths lessons tailored to the needs of SEMH students.
  • Implement and maintain strong behaviour management strategies to create a positive learning environment.
  • Develop individualised learning plans to support students' academic and personal growth.
