ABOUT THE SCHOOL

Prospero Teaching are recruiting on behalf of a specialist high school in Failsworth, Greater Manchester who are looking for a suitably qualified Speech & Language graduate to join their team.

The school is for children in KS1 -4 (aged 5-16 years old) with significant communication and learning difficulties.

The role of the graduate is to deliver planned lessons and interventions to small groups of students in the absence of a teacher. For this reason, the chosen candidate will be suitably qualified and experienced.

The school are looking for someone who is confident, dedicated and excels in behaviour management.

The role will consist of:

  • Providing tailored support and working with children with SEN (special education needs)
  • Creating a safe environment that allows the children to have fun, learn and succeed
  • Academic support of a 1:1 basis or in small groups
  • Assisting the teacher

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Teaching assistant qualification
  • Experience of supporting pupils with SEN on a voluntary or paid basis
