About the Role
As a Maintenance Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring our buildings and facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained. Working as part of our Estates and Facilities team, youll help support the delivery of essential healthcare services by maintaining the environment where patients, staff, and visitors feel comfortable and secure.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of NHS buildings, equipment, and infrastructure.
- Carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks.
- Respond to maintenance requests and resolve minor repairs efficiently.
- Support skilled tradespeople with larger maintenance tasks.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff during your duties.
What Were Looking For
- Previous experience in a maintenance, repair, or similar role (essential).
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, or electrical systems (desirable).
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
