We are seeking a Qualified Functional Skills Tutor with SEN experience to deliver tailored lessons that help students achieve their potential in Functional Skills (Levels 1-3). About the Role This role involves one-to-one tutoring for students needing extra support in Maths or English Functional Skills, often including those with special educational needs (SEN). Youll adapt lessons to meet individual learning goals, providing students with the confidence and tools they need to succeed academically and beyond. As a Functional Skills Tutor, you will be working part-time with flexible hours (1-30 hours per week), based on your availability and student requirements. Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality one-to-one Functional Skills lessons in Maths or English. Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of students, including those with SEN. Foster a nurturing and supportive environment to help students build confidence. Track and evaluate student progress, adjusting lessons as necessary. Collaborate with families, carers, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support. Required Qualifications and Experience: Minimum 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience in Functional Skills (Levels 1-3). Proven experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN). Right to work in the UK. Current enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one. Desired Qualities: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or a PGCE in Maths or English. Why Join Us?
