HGV Class 2 Delivery Driver
Salary £36-38K (depending on experience)
Based: Olney Bucks
Hours: Mon-Fri (Typically 6 am-4 pm)
This client has grown to be the largest independent turf supplier in the country since the company was formed 24 years ago. It now employs twenty-three highly motivated and experienced individuals to ensure the highest customer service levels are always delivered. As winners of the BALI Service Excellence Award two years running, the Company now seek a vital new team player to be part of this exciting business focussed on delivering the best customer service, where the standard of customer interaction is critical.
Key Role
- To operate our lorries and forklift trucks in a safe and efficient way
- To communicate with the customer to ensure that they receive their delivery exactly as requested (within safe and realistic parameters)
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspect vehicle before departing to deliver goods and report defects through the appropriate system
- Load products onto lorries according to the company’s specification
- Maintain ongoing communication with customers and head office
- Unload goods as per customer specifications
- Adhere to the driver handbook and all associated policies
Skills and Qualification
- Valid HGV Class 2 license
- Minimum 1 years experience as a delivery driver
- Manitou / Moffett license desirable (training available to the successful applicant)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass company driving test, criminal background check and drug test
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong time management skills
- Must possess a positive and professional attitude
