About the Role

EAC Consulting Group is recruiting for a mechanically minded Assembly Operative to join a busy and well-established manufacturing environment. This role involves assembling and testing mechanical products before they are dispatched to customers. The ideal candidate will be comfortable using hand and power tools, with experience in mechanical fitting, pipework, and general workshop duties. TIG welding experience would be an advantage but is not essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assembly & Fitting- Building mechanical products and pipework
  • General Workshop Duties- Drilling, sawing, and using hand tools
  • Quality Checks- Product testing and inspections
  • Logistics Support- Packing goods, loading/unloading, and handling deliveries
  • Occasional Site Visits- Assisting with external service work
  • TIG Welding- (Desirable, but training may be provided for the right candidate)

What We’re Looking For

  • Mechanical assembly or fitting experience (essential)
  • Comfortable using hand and power tools
  • Full UK driving licence (required)
  • Forklift licence (desirable)
  • TIG welding experience (desirable but not essential)
  • Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship
  • Reliable, punctual, and flexible team player
