Quality Manager – Aerospace

A highly specialist and innovative manufacturer of precision components to advanced manufacturing sectors including Aerospace, Defence, Automotive, Marine and Medical seek a Quality Manager to lead the quality function with additional responsibility for HS&E.

Operating within a dynamic and complex manufacturing environment, your main aim will be to ensure that production processes deliver products that optimise quality and technical compliance against commercial requirements.

Forming part of the senior management team, this is a high profile and empowered role enabling the appointed individual to organise, lead and develop their team and resources to achieve best practice.  


Outline Responsibilities

Experience of managing a technically demanding Quality Department including knowledge of both ISO9001 and AS9100 standards including Audit experience.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate team members plus establish meaningful KPIs and objectives for staff and equipment.

Development of Standard Operating Procedures along with other systems and processes including; Service Standards / AQLs, Material Quality Requirements, In-house Specifications etc.

Problem solving – identify root causes and take effective action to contain and resolve.

Work closely with cross-functional team including Supervisors and Team Leaders throughout the manufacturing process from NPI to Production handovers are effective.
