Brook Street (UK) Ltd are delighted to work on behalf of a public sector organisation to supply a Senior Clerical Officer for their Pre-School Education department based in Omagh on a temporary-ongoing basis.

As Senior Clerical Officer you will be proficient in MS Suite and have extensive knowledge of MS Excel Spreadsheets and be able to use excel functions such as: sort, filter, sum, and formulas. You will also perform the following duties:

  • General office administrative duties
  • Answering calls from parents and guardians regarding status of applications
  • Provide administrative support
  • Use the full range of IT equipment including typing, databases, spreadsheets, email, intranet, and internet facilities
  • Provide advice and assistance to Education Authority officers, customers, the public and other professionals
  • Assist in the collation of factual data and statistical information from various sources
  • Prepare letters, minutes, notes, and other clerical support to officers as appropriate
  • Providing customer service via telephone and on a face-to-face basis
  • Any other duties in line with the grade and department which need completed

Candidate's must have one year's demonstrable administrative / clerical experience in an office environment and hold a minimum of five GCSE passes (grades A*-C) or equivalent.

The hours of work for this role are Monday - Friday 0900 - 1700 36 standard hours per week with the rate of pay of £12.52 per hour
