Futures are excited to be working with a well-established FMCG business with a full portfolio of everyday essentials. This business has a great reputation in the market, supplying to 90+ countries and selling more than 450 million products annually.

As a National Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing key retail accounts across the UK. You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive sales, develop strategic initiatives, and ensure the successful execution of plans to maximise growth and profitability for both the company and our customers.

Key Responsibilities of a National Account Manager Include:

  • Account Management: Develop and manage strong relationships with key national retail partners and wholesalers. Act as the main point of contact for all account matters.

  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement tailored sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on product offerings, promotional activities, and pricing.

  • Negotiation & Contract Management: Lead negotiations on pricing, promotions, and long-term agreements. Ensure all commercial terms are competitive and mutually beneficial.

  • Market Insights & Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports on account performance, market trends, and competitor activity. Use data to identify growth opportunities and risks.

  • Forecasting & Budgeting: Oversee accurate sales forecasting, budget management, and the achievement of sales KPIs. Work with the finance team to track and report on financial performance.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, supply chain, and category teams to ensure seamless execution of marketing campaigns, product launches, and inventory management.

Key Requirements of a National Account Manager:

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in account management or sales within the FMCG industry

  • Strong understanding of sales strategies, pricing, promotions, and retail operations.

  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Ability to analyse market trends, customer data, and sales performance to drive decision-making.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders.

  • Proactive and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
