Financial Controller role -

Our new Manufacturing sector client based near Burscough are recruiting for an experienced and Qualified Financial Controller to lead the growing team. This role will be perfect for an experienced and confident qualified Accountant who can help drive and manage a small team in all aspects of accounts. As the Financial Controller there will have lots of opportunity to make this accounts function your own and to build on your existing experience.This Financial Controller role is to Lead the team to compile and present financial reports to senior management, with a key focus around costings, labour, analysis and to manage and drive the daily finance tasks for the finance function.Key responsibilities include -- Support the preparation of completion of Management Accounts and the budget process- To prepare monthly analysis of project costings, labour apportionment and other costs- Working to strict deadlines in completing cash flow reports and forecasting- Preparation of monthly operational board and board meeting reports- Managing a small team to to meet key deadlines- Owning the costing process reviews and continual process improvement

As a Financial Controller you will be able to demonstrate extensive experience in a similar role ideally from within a similar inustry sector, to be able to lead and drive the small team to ensure progression and continued excellence.Financial Controller Experience Required -

  • Ideally Qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA Accountant
  • Previous management experience in a finance based role 
  • Relevant accounting background in a growing SME, manufacturing environment is advantageous
  • Excellent communicator, to build great working relationships with stakeholders
  • Strong Commercial awareness with the ability to influence change. 
  • Strong attention to detail.
