Resourcery Group is exclusively supporting an established and highly reputable education provider in Liverpool. This organisation has a robust finance team and is seeking a professional Senior Accountant to join them.
Job Duties:- Prepare and review financial statements and reports.
- Manage financial transactions and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to key stakeholders.
- Produce external reports.
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, leading by example.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Ensure financial controls are in place, seeking best practises.
- Produce monthly management accounts.
- Responsible for fixed asset register.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA).
- Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Ideally looking for a candidate with an Education sector background, but this is not essential.Â
