Our client is one of the world's leading manufacturers of glass and glazing systems in three major business areas; Architectural Glass, Automotive and Technical Glass.
A fantastic opportunity has arisen with our client for a Process Development Engineer to work within the Shaping Technology team. You will be a key member of an R&D technology team who have the responsibility to develop our clients industrial manufacturing process, used worldwide, to produce glazing for the Automotive market.
As a Process Development Engineer, your duties will be: -
" Use data analysis skills and knowledge of digitalisation techniques, to understand correlations and trends within the glass bending manufacturing process.
" Develop an understanding of automotive glass specifications applicable to our clients processes and product performance.
" You will contribute to the development of environmentally responsible new processes and products.
" Travelling to Europe to learn processes and get involved in projects.
" Using digital tools to conduct analysis.
The successful Process Development Engineer will have the following skills: -
" Must have worked within a similar role previously.
" Experience working on a largescale production facility.
" Use of digital tools for data analysis and ability to interpret.
" Able to travel to Europe and Globally- Travel round Europe in the first year would be 1-2 weeks around every 6 weeks.
" Someone who can identify issues and problems and produce solutions.
" Quality control background would be advantageous.
" Must have UK driving licence.
