The Opportunity

My client is a market leader in building compliance and energy efficiency services, offering a full suite of solutions. As a true one-stop shop in the industry, they have a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, expert-led compliance services to businesses across the UK.

With ambitious growth plans and a rapidly expanding team, my client is looking for a Business Development Manager to drive new business opportunities and revenue growth. You’ll be targeting a vast array of companies that need compliance services, using innovative prospecting tools, and building long-term client relationships. This is an office-based role with occasional travel for client meetings, networking events, and industry exhibitions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and engage new business opportunities
  • Develop and manage a sales pipeline, focusing on businesses that require compliance services.
  • Make outbound sales calls, book appointments, and convert leads into long-term clients.
  • Attend industry events, exhibitions, and networking sessions to build relationships.
  • Work closely with marketing and internal teams to support lead generation and sales processes.
  • Provide excellent account management to ensure repeat business and high client retention.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly revenue targets, with a strong commission structure in place.
  • Stay up to date with industry regulations and compliance trends to position my client as a trusted partner.

About You:

  • Proven B2B sales experience is essential, with a track record of exceeding targets.
  • Experience in energy consultancies, brokerages, HVAC, or Facilities Management would be highly advantageous.
  • A natural hunter – proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven.
  • Confident in making outbound sales calls and securing new business.
  • You must be able to commute daily to the office in North Liverpool/West Lancs.
  • Strong relationship-building skills to develop long-term partnerships.
  • Experience managing a sales pipeline and using CRM systems effectively.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced sales environment.
