The team are responsible for the development of new laminated products for the architectural and automotive strategic business units, where function, performance, and durability are key.As a Laboratory Technician, your duties will be: -" Sample manufacture, performing detailed measurements and assessments." Carrying out and reporting detailed test plans." Specialist instruments and dedicated test equipment will be used routinely. Full training will be provided." Overseeing service schedules, ensuring calibration and any other routine maintenance activities are carried out in a timely manner." General housekeeping of the laboratories and ensuring relevant HSE and Quality system documents are up to date.The successful Laborartory Technician will have the following skills: -" Experience of working in a laboratory environment is essential." Must have HND/HNC/NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant discipline (Engineering or the physical sciences." Knowledge of glass products or processing would be a benefit; however, full training will be provided." Demonstrates a strong attention to detail and seeks to assure customer satisfaction." Good oral and written communication skills." Proficient with Microsoft packages particularly with Excel would be beneficial.Additional Information" 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays."
