We're on the lookout for an Accounts Payable Accountant to join our industrious accounting and finance team. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in maintaining accurate financial records and managing outgoing payments in a timely manner.

Description
- Manage outgoing payments in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers
- Compile and process invoices
- Reconcile payable reports each month to confirm that all amounts paid were accurate
- Collaborate with the finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines
- Report discrepancies found in records
- Engage in continuous knowledge development regarding sector's rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards
- Assist with other accounting projects as needed
Profile
A successful Accounts Payable Accountant should have:
- A solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
- The ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Knowledge of relevant accounting software
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
