We are pleased to be representing a rapidly growing distribution company based in Orpington who are recruiting for a permanent Account Manager to join their team. 

Purpose of the role:

To maintain and grow Sales and GP within a set group of customers, keeping their loyalty to the company through addressing client needs, dedication of service and maintaining great relationships.

Duties: 

Responsible to assist onboarding of new customers that have been won by BD team.

Take ownership of these new customers as their internal point of contact to manage them ongoing.

Grow these customers sales and gross profit through effective account management, along with existing other customers.

NEW CUSTOMER ONBOARDING:

  • engage with BD team and prospect to understand business won
  • liaise with BD, prospect and onboarding team for smooth launch
  • become primary customer contact point through launch phase

INTERNAL CUSTOMER ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT:

  • main internal point of contact to selected customer accounts
  • understand their basket spend, and our share of that
  • ensure forecasts are in place for products we supply and regularly reviewed
  • help customers with all enquiries for products, prices, samples, info (fielded via external A/C Mngr)
  • process customer orders, liaising with customer service team for delivery as needed
  • field complaints, compliance queries through QC
  • maintain and improve margins through product swap outs, cost reductions, price increases (fielded via external A/C Mngr)

Customers will be well known Fast Food brands, Restaurant brands, and other Foodservice companies

Skills Required :

  • Self-starter, who is focused on outcomes and able to overcome minor setbacks along the way
  • Confident communicator on phone, email and in meetings as required
  • Able to work in a team
  • Good time management skills

  • Solution finder
  • Can quickly adapt, and open to always learning
