Horizon Teachers are working with an Ofsted rated Good' Primary School based in Bromley, assisting in their search for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team starting after the Easter Holidays until the end of July. This is a part-time position with potential to progress into a full-time position further down the line.   • Support a child with SEND on a 1:1 basis, in and out of the classroom.
  • Implement strategies to support emotional regulation and social interactions.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCO to adapt learning materials.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist with communication and language development using recommended strategies.
  • Support the child's participation in group activities and transitions.
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers and external professionals.
About you
  • Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs.
  • Experience working with children with SEMH needs and/or speech and language delay (desirable but not essential).
  • A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to supporting children with complex needs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
