Horizon Teachers are currently working with a Primary School in Bromley that are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work within their Year 1 class, supporting 2 children on a 2:1 basis that have mild Special Educational Needs, such as Autism.You will be responsible for ensuring the children are engaged within lessons, supporting them with any class work and helping to manage their behaviour. The School is one-form entry with a very warm and welcoming atmosphere, with a clear teaching approach they encourage all of their children to be positive, enthusiastic and resilient learners.This will be a very rewarding role for the right person, starting ASAP until the end of the academic year, on a full-time basis, and will pay up to £550 per week.What the school are looking for in their Teaching Assistants:
  • Experience supporting children within a Nursery or School setting.
  • Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs is very desirable.
  • Confident working 1:1 and within small groups of children
  • Be able to assist the class teacher with classroom preparation
