Quality Improvement Manager (South)
Location: Home-based with frequent national travel required.Working Pattern: Full-time, 35 hours per weekSalary: Up to £55,000, depending on skills and experience
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and experienced Quality Improvement Manager to lead and enhance teaching, learning, and assessment standards across the South region. This key leadership role will oversee a team of Internal Quality Assurers and a Quality Improvement Officer, driving continuous improvement throughout the apprenticeship journey.
The RoleAs a Quality Improvement Manager, you will work closely with delivery teams, curriculum experts, and digital learning colleagues to embed a culture of excellence. Your role will ensure that quality assurance is an integrated process that leads to tangible improvements, enhancing the apprentice experience and ensuring success beyond qualification attainment.
Your responsibilities will include:

Leading and managing a team to deliver high-quality assurance and improvement initiatives.

Overseeing IQA sampling activities to maintain consistency and compliance with sector regulations.

Developing and implementing targeted improvement plans using data insights and feedback.

Ensuring apprentices receive a well-rounded experience, equipping them with essential skills for career progression.

Maintaining compliance with Ofsted, awarding bodies, and industry standards to uphold best practices in teaching, learning, and assessment.

Collaborating with key stakeholders to develop action plans that drive sustained quality enhancements.

Identifying and promoting best practices while ensuring that interventions and training are effective and impactful.

Monitoring performance trends and reporting on key findings to senior leadership.

Contributing to the self-assessment and continuous improvement planning processes.
The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled quality professional with a proven track record of improving teaching, learning, and assessment within apprenticeships. You will be confident in leading teams, managing IQA processes, and applying regulatory frameworks to enhance provision quality.
Essential Skills & Experience:-
Degree-level qualification or equivalent industry experience.

Level 4 or higher teaching qualification.

Assessor and Internal Quality Assurer qualifications (e.g., A1, V1, TAQA).

Proven expertise in improving apprenticeship teaching, learning, and assessment quality.

Strong knowledge of Ofsted's Education Inspection Framework and apprenticeship best practices.

Experience in managing IQA activities and implementing quality assurance processes.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.

Strong communication and leadership skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.

Willingness to travel nationally as required.

Leadership or management qualifications (e.g., ILM, CMI Level 5 or above).

Coaching and mentoring experience.

Advanced qualifications in Electrical or Mechanical services.

Previous involvement in successful Ofsted inspections.
