Key Responsibilities:
As a Junior Estimator, you will:
- Prepare initial cost estimates for installations and develop price schedules and bid proposals.
- Analyse technical aspects of projects based on blueprints, drawings, and other reference materials.
- Compile estimates of labour and material costs to prepare competitive bids.
- Assist clients in making informed decisions to successfully win bids.
- Review analysis reports and seek opportunities for additional orders.
- Communicate with suppliers to obtain bids for materials and services, ensuring compliance with contract requirements.
- Forecast project timelines and ensure all estimates are accurate and detailed.
- Maintain organised documentation and records of estimates, contracts, and project costs for future reference.
What We're Looking For:
- Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to client satisfaction.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members and clients.
- Good time management and scheduling abilities to meet tight deadlines.
- A keen eye for detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Previous experience in the construction industry is preferred but not essential.
