NEOS are working with a growing renewable energy contractor that specialises in commercial and domestic solar PV installations. As demand continues to surge, they are looking to bring on an experienced Solar Electrician to join their field-based team covering the South East region.

The RoleAs a Solar Electrician, you’ll be involved in the installation, testing, and commissioning of solar PV systems on both domestic rooftops and commercial-scale projects. You’ll work as part of a small team on-site, ensuring installations are completed safely, to spec, and within deadline.
Key Responsibilities-
Carry out the electrical installation of solar PV systems (AC side)

Support DC stringing, inverter mounting, and full system commissioning

Complete testing, inspection, and certification of installed systems

Ensure all work meets current IET Wiring Regulations and MCS standards

Troubleshoot and rectify electrical faults during installation or post-install

Maintain accurate records, including test sheets, job reports, and system logs

Liaise with site managers, homeowners, or commercial clients as required

Maintain high standards of health & safety at all times

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)

18th Edition (BS 7671)
-
ECS/CSCS card
-
Full UK driving licence
-
Experience installing and commissioning solar PV systems (domestic or commercial)

Ability to read electrical drawings and work to spec independently

Strong understanding of safe working practices and compliance

2391 Testing & Inspection
-
Battery storage installation experience (Tesla Powerwall, GivEnergy etc.)

SolarEdge, Solis, Fronius inverter experience

Working at height / PASMA / IPAF training

EV charger installation experience (OZEV qualified)

£38,000 – £45,000 base salary (DOE)
