We are delighted to be working with this Orpington based law firm. They are recruiting for a Litigation Paralegal, on a full-time permanent basis. Salary: £33,000 - £36,000Typical duties include:
- Manage a mixed caseload including but not limited to Litigation cases, within the motor trade
- Monitor individual and team performance to ensure productivity and quality targets are met, escalate concerns accordingly
- Conduct one-to-one with Fee Earners reviewing complex claims and technical advice
- Manage team training needs and creating training material delivered to both Fee Earners and Insurer Clients
- Giving clear and concise advise
- Strong decision-making abilities, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- Take and Draft statements
- Allocate settlement funds
- Effective management of the litigation process to ensure SLA’s are met
- Drafting Court documents
- Liaise with client’s regarding uninsured losses
- Adhering to all court deadlines
Candidate specification:
- Previous experience in insurance claims processing, with at least 1 year supervisory role and full civil litigation knowledge running a litigated portfolio
- Degree holder
- Experience handling Litigation matters within a law firm
- Excellent communication skills
- Business development skills
- Attention to detail
