We are looking for a Credit Hire Litigation Team Leader to join a growing, ambitious law firm. With a collaborative and forward-thinking environment, the firm invests in staff development, ensuring technical expertise and professional growth for all employees.

Role OverviewAs the Credit Hire Litigation Team Leader, you will oversee a portfolio of litigation cases, guiding them through to settlement or final hearing. In addition, you will manage and support a dedicated team, providing guidance on cases, conducting training, and ensuring operational standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Case Management: Handle a mixed caseload involving credit hire, liability disputes, repairs, and small claims.
  • Process Oversight: Ensure the litigation process aligns with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and manage task lists effectively.
  • Client & Court Communication: Draft court documents, liaise with clients regarding uninsured losses, and manage all court deadlines.
  • Team Leadership: Act as a first point of contact for team queries, provide training, conduct team meetings, and support junior team members.
  • Mentorship & Supervision: Conduct one-on-one meetings, supervise file reviews, and assist with the training of new staff.

About You

  • Proficient in managing own caseload of Credit Hire motor claims within legal or insurance sector.
  • Experienced in using case management systems and maintaining a productive diary system.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and skilled in multitasking.
  • Comfortable communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including clients, insurers, and court officials.
  • Strong foundation in Civil Procedure Roles regarding RTA/Motor Insurance Claims.
  • Confident in both independent and team-oriented work.
