Outstanding SEND School in Orpington is seeking a diligent and reliable Contract SEN School Cleaner to join our team for an immediate start! The successful School Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment in the reception area, classrooms, and other school facilities. The role requires adherence to health and safety guidelines, including COSHH regulations.

• Experience working as a school cleaner is ideal
• Clean and sanitize reception areas, classrooms, restrooms, and other school facilities.
• Previous experience in a cleaning role, preferably within an educational setting.
• Knowledge of COSHH regulations and safe use of cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as hoovers and floor polishers.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Perform regular hoovering, dusting, mopping, and wiping of surfaces.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment and materials are used and stored safely according to COSHH regulations.
• Empty and dispose of waste in accordance with school policies.
• Replenish cleaning supplies and report any shortages or maintenance issues.
• Follow a daily and weekly cleaning schedule to ensure all areas are maintained to a high standard.
• Respond to any urgent cleaning requirements as needed.
• Maintain a professional and courteous manner when interacting with staff and students.
• You have an in date Enhanced DBS on the update service or able to pay for a new one immediately
• You live in easy commutable distance to Orpington
