Our client is looking for an electrically biased Assembly Operative to join their dynamic team. This role is initially offered until the end of the year, with the potential for extension based on workflow.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling mechanical and electrical components based on engineering and schematic drawings, ensuring compliance with company test specifications and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble mechanical components in accordance with engineering drawings.
- Test completed instruments using a variety of equipment, including spectrometers, to ensure they meet customer specifications.
- Inspect and package finished products for dispatch.
- Work efficiently to meet deadlines and delivery targets.
- Adhere to company Health and Safety protocols and operational procedures.
- Maintain regular communication with the Cell Team Leader regarding job progress.
- Follow company policies and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
- Perform other duties as required.
Person Specification:
- Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings.
- Knowledge of mechanical components.
- Proficient in using hand tools.
- Highly motivated and eager to learn.
- Able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Capable of performing light lifting and carrying duties.
The position is initially for 2-3 weeks, with the possibility of extension depending on order volumes.
Working Hours (37 hours per week):
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Pay:
- 13.90 per hour (PAYE)
