We are looking for a Credit Hire Claims Handler / Litigator to join an expanding, client-focused law firm established in 2014. Known for its collaborative environment and commitment to staff development, the firm provides exceptional legal services to a diverse client base, from individuals to large corporations.

Role OverviewAs an experienced Credit Hire Claims Handler / Litigator, you will take ownership of a caseload, managing litigation cases through to settlement or final hearing. You will be a proactive and dedicated professional who can work efficiently within a structured environment, handling both routine and complex cases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Case Management: Handle a diverse caseload, including credit hire, liability disputes, repairs, and small claims.
  • Process Efficiency: Ensure all cases align with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and manage task lists for optimal efficiency.
  • Court & Client Liaison: Draft and manage court documents, liaise with clients on uninsured losses, and coordinate case details effectively.
  • Document Drafting: Prepare and draft comprehensive statements, book and instruct counsel, and oversee the allocation of settlement funds.
  • Quality Assurance: Review files, supervise junior team members, and ensure all court documents meet firm standards.

About You

  • Professional with experience in case handling or file handling within the legal or insurance industry.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple cases with precision.
  • An effective communicator, comfortable liaising with clients, insurers, solicitors, and court officials.
  • Knowledgeable in the Civil Procedure Rules, especially in RTA/Motor Insurance Claims.
  • A team player, yet confident in working independently.
  • Familiar with case management systems, adept at diary management, and capable of delivering high-quality outcomes.
