JRRL are seeking a Trainee Investment Manager to join their client in Orpington. The successful candidate will provide investment management administration support and assistance to investment managers and clients and aid with portfolio management. The company also offers the opportunity to further your professional development to achieve the chartered wealth management qualification.
Key Responsibilities of the Trainee Investment Manager:
- Assist with the onboarding of new clients, through the preparing KYC documents and collating of data interlinking with the administration of new accounts.
- Uphold client service standard levels, by actioning and monitoring internal and external queries via the telephone and email.
- Support Investment Managers closely with processing trades and supporting with ongoing development of client relationships.
- Maintain up to date knowledge on corporate actions to produce and distribute corporate action letters for Investment Managers.
- Research new investment ideas and/or written articles to collate and send to the wider Investment team for wider team support.
- Create and form investment schedules in addition to supporting client documentation.
- Assist with pitching documents for existing and potential clients.
- Report and remain aware of any risks which may be detrimental to clients or to the firm’s reputation, which arise from inadequate procedures, systems, or data handling.
Person Specification for the Trainee Investment Manager:
- Achieved or working towards industry level qualifications (CISI Level 4 Investment Advice Diploma in Securities and/or Level 7) with a desire to further professional development to achieve the chartered wealth management qualification.
- Experience of working in the Financial Services, or a regulated environment.
- Good understanding of Capital Gains Tax, corporate actions and operational procedures relating to investments.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Intermediate level).
- Ability to adapt, innovate and analyse complex information.
- A keen eye for detail with proven accuracy skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on providing outstanding client care.
