Eventus Legal is seeking a Legal Secretary to join an incredibly successful regional law firm’s Family department. The firm is easily commutable from several areas including Bromley, Sevenoaks, Croydon and Sidcup. This is a permanent, full-time job with an award-winning, Legal 500 law firm, who are renowned for providing exceptional legal services to a diverse client base. Role Responsibilities

The incoming Legal Secretary will join a leading law firm who specialise in providing advice and assistance to clients in the areas of matrimonial and family. With a commitment to excellence and a client-centric approach, you will be responsible for providing a full range of secretarial services including dealing with quotes and potential new clients, and opening and closing files.

Your duties within this legal job will include:

  • Liaising with clients regarding the progress of their matter
  • Attending client meetings to take instructions, providing relevant documents when required
  • Ensuring that all information is recorded with a high degree of accuracy to keep client and matter files in good order
  • Promptly dealing with client queries or problems
  • Ensuring compliance with set quality standards and departmental procedures when handling all matters
  • Supporting the growth of the department with business development

Person Specifications

The incoming Legal Secretary will be able to demonstrate extensive secretarial experience, preferably within the Family department of a reputable law firm or legal department. You will also be able to demonstrate:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent collaborative skills, a great team player
  • Positive and professional
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise deadlines
  • Ability to work on own initiative
