Quantity Surveyor - Social Housing Refurbishment & Regeneration

A leading contractor specializing in the refurbishment and regeneration of Social Housing projects are looking for a talented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic team, overseeing projects within the Social Housing sector.

About the Role:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing and delivering high-quality projects within the Social Housing refurbishment and regeneration sectors. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of cost management, from budgeting and cost estimation to contract administration and final accounts. Working closely with clients, contractors, and stakeholders, you will ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the cost control and financial aspects of Social Housing refurbishment and regeneration projects.
  • Prepare and review cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents.
  • Administer contracts, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Provide advice on cost-effective solutions, value engineering, and cost savings.
  • Monitor project progress and costs, and report on any variances.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Identify and manage project risks, ensuring successful project outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the Social Housing sector.
  • Strong background in construction, with a solid understanding of refurbishment and regeneration projects.
  • Experience working with Social Housing frameworks and relevant contracts.
  • Excellent knowledge of cost management, budgeting, and project controls.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant degree or professional qualification (RICS accreditation is desirable).
