We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor with a deep understanding of Life Cycle Costing (LCC) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in conducting comprehensive assessments of Life Cycle milestones, accurately evaluating the current position of projects, and formulating well-supported contractual claims. This role requires the ability to apply LCC methodologies effectively to assess and optimize the total cost of ownership, ensuring the long-term financial viability of construction projects.
- Life Cycle costing (LCC) . Based on individual Life Cycle Milestone conduct assessment of current position and formulate correct contractual claimed with supporting evidence. Identifying the gap between claimed position, current unclaimed cost, and future requirements for the full completion.
- Collaborate with FM team, Supporting unit currently delivering Life cycle works, Supply chain, who carried out historical works to obtain any information required to formulate the correct claim.
- Evaluate project works delivered by VFBS and apply correct assets categorisation to the undertaken works. Established suitable join approach for the future works and work evaluation.
- Managed the claims to the client and action the enquires arriving from the submissions.
Key Skills
- Balancing multiple project lines delivery with historical claims
- Familiarisation with construction practices, including an understanding of certifications and standards applicable to healthcare.
- Effective communications to achieve required information.
- Excellent efficiency in Excel large workbooks, knowledge of COINS and CAFM system beneficial
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in quantity surveying similar environment and line of business. Candidates from the other sectors welcome, If the skillsets are transferable.
- Education: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field DISARABLE but not essential.
- RICS membership or similar professional accreditation DISARABLE but not essential
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to visualised entire model and entire concept delivery.
- Cost Management & Quantity Surveying Expertise essential with good understanding of project works delivered in live environment.
- Understanding of Life Cycle models based on individual assets conditions.
- Strong analytical skills to assess project data and costs accuracy.
- Knowledge of hospital building standards, infection control requirements, NHS building specifications, specialized materials suitable for healthcare environments, with ability to seek for the information in right source.
