We are recruiting for a coffee franchise based in Orpington who are looking for an Assistant Manager to help run the shop. The shop operates from 7am - 6.30pm, shifts will either be an early (7 - 4pm) or a late (9.30 - 6.30pm). The shifts will involve working every other weekend. 

Location: Town centre and close to Orpington station

Responsibility to assist with the running of the Café, including both kitchen and for all Front of House Duties.

Responsibilities:

– To manage the preparation and heating of all foods and drinks/beverages

– To manage planning and pricing of menus and food and drinks/beverages to adhere to agreed prices/budgets and maintain applicable quality standards and records

– To assist the owner in ordering and obtaining supplies

– for ensuring sufficient team members at all times and within agreed budgets

– quality control of all supplies, food, drinks/beverages,  kitchen hygiene and health and safety

– to assist the Line Manager to meet your targets and those of the team as a whole

– smooth running of the of the team

– adhere to statutory obligations and agreed quality and best practice guidelines

– to assist the Line Manager to manage Front of House duties to include taking and serving order, clearing and preparing tables, prepare the bill and take payment

- Organise staff Rota

– manage customers’ expectations and assist in dealing and resolving all queries and delivering excellent customer service

Skills & Experience Required:

- Previous Barista experience 

- Previous Management Experience 

 - Local to Orpington area 

 - Available to work some weekends and early and late shifts
