Join our dynamic team as a Music Leader and play a pivotal role in nurturing London's learning-disabled music community. This part-time position offers the unique opportunity to lead and inspire through various music projects, particularly aimed at young people and adults over 25.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Facilitate Music Sessions:

    • Lead engaging music sessions for young people in the evenings.
    • Provide support and guidance to adults over 25, assisting them in improving music skills, composing songs, recording, and performing live.
  • Soda Beat Live Music Events:

    • Support and encourage young participants to gain experience by performing.
    • Contribute to the organisation and coordination of live music events.
  • The Next Big Thing Programme:

    • Actively participate in the development and execution of this artist development programme, helping emerging artists to hone their skills and gain exposure in the music industry.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Music Leader or similar role, with a focus on community or educational music projects.
  • Strong ability to engage and inspire people of all ages and abilities, particularly those with learning disabilities.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Experience in event coordination, particularly in live music settings.
  • A passion for music and its potential to impact positively on people’s lives.
