Join our team as a Neighbourhood Response Officer and play a crucial role in ensuring our neighbourhoods are desirable places to live. This position involves a strong focus on community engagement, safety, and maintenance, ensuring that all estates are well-kept and that residents’ needs are met through effective collaboration with various teams and external partners.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Develop and implement neighbourhood plans and local offers tailored to the community’s needs.
  • Conduct regular estate inspections, prioritising fire safety and other risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with local residents’ groups to enhance community facilities, activities, and events.
  • Work closely with local partners, including safer neighbourhood teams, voluntary sectors, and youth services, to address and prevent anti-social behaviour (ASB).
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure neighbourhood improvements and services are effectively delivered.
  • Conduct home visits for tenancy or lease breaches and assess additional support needs for vulnerable customers.
  • Manage property viewings, tenancy sign-ups, and assignments.
  • Represent the organisation in court, provide witness statements, and handle evictions and stay hearings as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in community or neighbourhood management, particularly within housing or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of tenancy agreements and property management.
  • Ability to work effectively with various stakeholders, including residents, local authorities, and internal teams.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality community services.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with diplomacy and tact.
