Hunter Mental Health is currently working alongside an excellent Adult Social Working Team and assisting in their search for a locum Social Worker.

Key details of the position:

  • Job Title - Registered Social Worker (MUST have 2 years post AYSE experience)
  • Location - Orpington
  • Duration - 3 months on going
  • Schedule -  Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
  • Start Date - Septmber 2024
  • Rate of pay - £32 - £34ph (Umbrella)

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • The role is in one of the locality teams which deal with a broad range of Adult Social Care referrals
  • All care management and safeguarding tasks are undertaken as per the statutory duties for a local authority underpinned by the Adult Social Care legislation
  • Adult Social Care is on a transformation journey, and we are seeking talented and experienced people to join us to support the changes that are taking place and lead the team forward
  • The role will be based at the offices in Bromley South
  • This is a full-time position Monday to Friday. We are looking for a suitably qualified, professionally registered person, experienced in supervising and managing staff
  • You need experience of performance management and the ability and experience of supporting staff through complex and challenging casework
  • The ability to lead and support staff through change is also essential
  • You must have the ability and experience to maintain healthy relationships with partner agencies, particularly health, voluntary sector and commissioned services
  • The ideal candidate should be conversant with different IT systems and know how to record information contemporaneously on social care systems
  • You will possess excellent communication, analytical and written skills and be a problem solver, as well as be effective at prioritising, meeting performance targets and managing systems
  • As part of a supportive management team, you will work to the requirements of the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act along with best practice, regular supervision, training, career development and the Council’s Appraisal model
  • You must be a qualified and registered Social Worker. A satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service check is also essential.

Requirements and qualifications required for this role:

  • Current and valid registration with the SWE
  • Proven experience within a Social Working role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
  • Car driver to travel across multiple sites
  • Fully on site and hybrid/remote working to be discussed during interview (team can offer up to 3 days remote)
