Here at Destination Education, we are working with aspecialist post-16 college for visually impaired young peoplebased in Orpingtonwho are looking for enthusiastic SEN teaching assistants to join their teamon afulltime basis. Experience working with visual impairment is not essential; training will be providedon the job.
SEN Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
- Help maintain an engaging and stimulating environment for students.
- Work 1:1 with students that require extra support.
- Provide personal care when needed.
- Experience working with students/young adults with special educational needs (SEN)
- Experience working in a school environment
- Passionate about working with young people with SEN and other learning difficulties
- Excellent communication skills, being able to work effectively as part of a team
- A positive, can-do attitude.
- Be reliable and professional
- Be able to provide an up to date DBS (or apply for one)
- Working with leading consultants in the industry who have expertise in Education.
