Here at Destination Education, we are working with aspecialist post-16 college for visually impaired young peoplebased in Orpingtonwho are looking for enthusiastic SEN teaching assistants to join their teamon afulltime basis. Experience working with visual impairment is not essential; training will be providedon the job.

SEN Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
  • Help maintain an engaging and stimulating environment for students.
  • Work 1:1 with students that require extra support.
  • Provide personal care when needed.
SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements:
  • Experience working with students/young adults with special educational needs (SEN)
  • Experience working in a school environment
  • Passionate about working with young people with SEN and other learning difficulties
  • Excellent communication skills, being able to work effectively as part of a team
  • A positive, can-do attitude.
  • Be reliable and professional
  • Be able to provide an up to date DBS (or apply for one)
