Day-to-day of the role:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons for Year 3 students.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the social, emotional, and academic development of all students.
  • Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and staff.
  • Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and other professionals to meet the needs of each student.
  • Foster strong relationships with students, encouraging their confidence and self-esteem.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with school policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children with SEMH needs is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of primary education and the national curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting young people.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field are desirable.
