My client, a leading home furnishings retailer, are looking for a Buying Manager to join them on a full-time permanent basis. As a Buying Manager in this role, you should have strong knowledge of the retail industry and be confident in supplier negotiations and contract management. You should also be a confident communicator and have the ability to build strong relationships.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Lead sourcing and category management to ensure product ranges are in line with market trends and customer expectations
- Ensure strong relationships are built and maintained with new and existing suppliers
- Negotiate terms, pricing and contracts
- Stay on top of industry trends
- Ensure profitability is maintained and remain competitive in the market
- Collaborate with wider teams such as sales and marketing to drive and increase sales
- Stay up to date with market research and emerging trends
- Ensure products are in line with company standards and quality
- To be considered for this role you must have knowledge of flooring products such as LVT, laminate, solid wood flooring etc
- At least three years of experience in a similar role as a Purchasing Manager
- Previous experience in supplier negotiation and contract management
- Strong and confident communicator
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and in an independent way
- £55,000 - £60,000 base salary
