We are looking for an experienced Engineering Team Leader to join a well-established manufacturing company in Ossett. This hands-on role involves leading a team of engineers on shift, ensuring high standards of maintenance and reliability across the site.

Salary: £52,000 per annum

Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts (mix of days and nights)

Lead and coordinate a team of engineers to support production operations.

Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently to meet key performance targets.

Coach and develop team members to improve safety, fault diagnosis, and resolution skills.

Plan and allocate resources to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including root cause analysis and lean manufacturing.

Enforce compliance with safety, quality, and maintenance procedures.

Carry out reactive and planned maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.
-
Diagnose and resolve faults on production machinery.

Assist with the development of preventative maintenance systems.
-
Ensure minimal engineering downtime and high production line availability.
-
Manage maintenance tools, stores, and spare parts effectively.
-
Previous experience working in a manufacturing/FMCG environment.
-
Time-served apprenticeship in an engineering discipline.
-
Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
-
PLC fault-finding experience (desirable).

Previous leadership experience is beneficial but not essential.
