-Our Oswestry site is a best in class cheese packaging facility that covers 8 acres of land and package 350 different types of products.

-We send cheese out to Europe, North America, Africa & Asia.

-If we lined up, side-by-side, all the 20kg blocks of cheese our Oswestry site process each year, we could plot the entire UK coastline.

About the job

-As a Production Operator you will be assisting with the efficient running of the packing lines in Production area within a busy cheese production and packing site

-To contribute to the quality and technical areas in the Production team to enable it to produce the highest quality cheese products in a reliable and cost effective way

-Work to a high standard to achieve departmental targets

-Effectively run Production and Packing lines by using production IT systems

-Perform simple maintenance tasks

-Maintain strict Food Hygiene and Health and Safety standards within the department

-Monitor equipment performance and correct / raise issues before they become problems

-Contribute to the team reporting and decision making process

What youll need in order to be successful in the role

-Good communicator with ability to understand instructions

-Previous experience in an FMCG or related company

-Food hygiene certificate

-NVQ level 2 or equivalent is desirable to demonstrate basic level of vocational learning ability.

-Experience of SAP process order management and automated data collection systems i.e. SCADA, OEE
