Electrical Maintenance Engineer Salary: £45,000 + Per Annum DOELocation: Oswestry Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (2 Days and 2 Nights)Gap Technical is proud to be partnering with a leading national FMCG manufacturing business in their search for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their Oswestry facility. This role is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and reputable organisation.Scope of RoleThe position operates within the Maintenance/Engineering Department, collaborating with a small team of engineers to maintain the smooth and efficient operation of the business. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you will deliver hands-on engineering services to the production operation by maintaining all plant and equipment in accordance with the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) plan, ensuring that production targets are achieved with minimal downtime.The Ideal CandidateWe are seeking a motivated, creative, and positive individual who thrives under pressure. You will be expected to follow all company health and safety procedures and ensure that all work is performed safely and to the highest standards.Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver reactive and planned maintenance support for both electrical and mechanical systems
  • Adhere to detailed maintenance schedules and ensure consistent performance
  • Desirable skills include fabrication & MIG welding, machine installation, servicing, and general maintenance
  • Troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled equipment (I/O Fault Finding), as well as pneumatic, hydraulic, and steam boiler systems in a high-speed production environment.

Qualifications

  • Apprentice-trained with electrical qualifications and a multi-skilled engineering background.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and spreadsheet applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability.
