General Manager

Salary up to £60,000 + Bonus Scheme (1% Net Profit) + £5,400 Car Allowance + Pension + Holidays + Health Cash Plan Scheme + EAP 

37.5 Hours Per Week - Monday to Friday 08:30 to 17:00 

General Manager required for a highly reputable company who specialise in metal treatment. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to play an integral role within a company who are true market leaders. 

The successful candidate can come from any manufacturing or engineering industry and will need experience working with manual processes. This role would particularly suit candidates with experience working in heavy industry. 

Reporting into the Managing Director, the successful General Manager will be responsible for overseeing the operations and strategies of three sites located in Hereford and Shropshire, consisting of around 125 employees. You will oversee the company’s senior leadership team to develop and install business strategies, as well as overseeing the day-to-day operations of the plants and special projects. 

The General Manager Role: 

· Travel between company sites located in Hereford and Shropshire
· Strategic management
· Operational management – ensuring H&S, environmental regulations, pest practices etc.
· Team Management – overseeing, mentoring and development of 5 direct reports and supporting employee engagement across the group
· Financial oversite – support with budgeting and financial reporting
· Oversee quality assurance to ensure high quality products and processes 

The General Manager Candidate:

· Experience in a senior management role with leadership experience
· Experience in a manufacturing / engineering environment with manual processes
· Understanding of business strategies
