About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our team on a major water treatment project in Oswestry. As a key part of the project, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems associated with water treatment facilities. Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair mechanical systems, pumps, valves, and other equipment within the water treatment plant.
- Work with engineering drawings and specifications to ensure installations are completed to the highest standards.
- Perform routine inspections and diagnostic checks to identify and resolve mechanical issues.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure project milestones are met.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter, preferably within the water treatment or utilities sector.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, pumps, motors, and valves.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Health and safety awareness, with a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Valid CSCS card (or equivalent) and relevant industry qualifications.
- A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
