This exciting opportunity is ideal for an enthusiastic educator eager to inspire students and make a positive impact on their artistic journey.

Position:

  • Full-time Art Teacher (QTS)
  • Mainstream Secondary School
  • Location: Aston, Birmingham
  • Start Date: January 2025

About the Role:The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Art at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, delivering engaging and creative lessons that encourage students to explore and develop their artistic talents. You will have the opportunity to inspire students, fostering a passion for visual arts while preparing them for GCSE success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, teach, and assess Art lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
  • Deliver a diverse and inclusive curriculum, catering to the needs of all students
  • Encourage students’ creativity and critical thinking through practical and theoretical work
  • Promote a positive and safe learning environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the overall success of the department
  • Monitor and track student progress and provide constructive feedback

Key Requirements:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • A genuine passion for teaching Art
  • Experience teaching Art at KS3 and KS4 (desirable)
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Creativity, energy, and the ability to inspire students
