About the Role:The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Art at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, delivering engaging and creative lessons that encourage students to explore and develop their artistic talents. You will have the opportunity to inspire students, fostering a passion for visual arts while preparing them for GCSE success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, teach, and assess Art lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
- Deliver a diverse and inclusive curriculum, catering to the needs of all students
- Encourage students’ creativity and critical thinking through practical and theoretical work
- Promote a positive and safe learning environment
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the overall success of the department
- Monitor and track student progress and provide constructive feedback
Key Requirements:
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
- A genuine passion for teaching Art
- Experience teaching Art at KS3 and KS4 (desirable)
- Strong classroom management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Creativity, energy, and the ability to inspire students
