We are currently seeking Health and Social Care Teachers to join our team on a supply basis, supporting schools in the Oswestry area and surrounding regions. Key Responsibilities

As a Health and Social Care Teacher with Excell Supply, you will:

  • Deliver engaging lessons in health and social care to students at all levels.
  • Adapt lesson plans to meet the specific needs of students, ensuring all learning objectives are met.
  • Provide a high standard of teaching and support, while maintaining discipline and a positive classroom atmosphere.
  • Support students in preparing for exams, coursework, and practical assessments.
  • Consult with school staff to ensure continuity and smooth transitions between teaching assignments.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum and developments in health and social care education.
  • Foster student engagement and enthusiasm for the subject.
  • Ensure a safe and productive learning environment, in line with school policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Health and Social Care, or a related subject (or equivalent professional qualification).
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students of varying abilities.
  • A flexible, adaptable approach to teaching in different school environments.
  • A passion for the subject and a commitment to inspiring students to pursue careers in health and social care.
  • An understanding of current educational practices and the ability to adapt to different learning styles.
