We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Credit Controller to join a growing, family-owned business based in Otley. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional who can hit the ground running and contribute to our continued success. The role reports directly to the Credit Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the credit control function, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to facilitate effective credit management.
  • Conduct credit checks and set up new customer accounts.
  • Monitor customer accounts and ensure compliance with credit terms.
  • Resolve any payment issues or disputes efficiently and professionally.
  • Prepare regular reports on debtors, credit status, and collection performance for senior management.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of credit control policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior credit control staff as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a credit control position, ideally in a senior or supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of credit control processes and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
