Elevation Recruitment Group are working with an expanding manufacturing business who are looking for a driven Quality Engineer to join the team and play an integral role in advancing the capabilities of the quality department. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a dynamic team of experienced professionals, making a real impact on the continued growth and success of our business.As Quality Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and address non-conformances within the facility. You will ensure that components are delivered on time, to the highest standards, and at a competitive cost. Your role will also involve supporting internal audits, managing non-conformances, handling customer complaints, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, requiring strong communication and leadership skills, as well as a passion for problem-solving and delivering world-class solutions. Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Managing customer quality contact, including reviews and approval of sales shipments, component drawings, and customer specifications.
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of Quality Assurance Procedures across all departments.
  • Overseeing customer audits, internal audits, and corrective actions to ensure effective resolution of quality issues.
  • Collaborating with Product Engineering and Manufacturing teams to resolve issues and reduce defects and scrap.
  • Assisting in the development of new products while ensuring customer specs and quality requirements are met.
  • Support the development and maintenance of robust quality systems to drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead investigations into root causes, corrective actions, and process improvements.
  • Conduct audits and ensure the quality management system remains compliant and effective.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and resolve quality issues.
  • Oversee the education and training of inspectors on customer quality requirements.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in a quality engineering role within manufacturing or engineering.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and motivate others.
  • Proven problem-solving capabilities, with a structured approach to task completion.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Proficiency in IT, with experience using relevant software tools and systems.
  • Strong interest in manufacturing and precision engineering, with a passion for continuous improvement.
