About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Manager to join a well-established and growing accountancy practice. This role is ideal for an experienced finance professional looking to take the next step in their career. You will be working within a dedicated accounts team, managing a diverse portfolio of clients, and playing a key role in delivering high-quality accountancy and tax services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review accounts and tax returns for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
  • Provide tax planning services and complete self-assessment tax returns for individuals.
  • Advise company directors on dividend and remuneration planning.
  • Offer strategic financial advice to clients on accounting systems, tax efficiency, and business growth.
  • Maintain strong client relationships, addressing queries in a professional and proactive manner.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, providing training and guidance to aid their development.
  • Review VAT returns prepared by the bookkeeping team.
  • Undertake ad hoc financial projects and reporting as required.

Essential:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and applications.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in managing financial systems, budgets, audits, taxation, and business advisory.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to analyse financial data and provide insights.
  • Excellent client management, communication, and supervisory skills.
