Core Subjects Teacher – SEMH School

Location: Birmingham 

Full-Time, Starting September 2025

We’re looking for a committed and compassionate Core Subjects Teacher to join our dedicated team at a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school in Birmingham.

This full-time position, starting in September, offers the chance to work in a nurturing and supportive school where students with SEMH needs can thrive, with education designed to unlock their full potential.

The Role:

• Deliver engaging lessons in core subjects (English, Maths, Science) that resonate with students facing SEMH challenges.

• Tailor lesson plans to meet diverse learning styles and emotional needs, ensuring each student receives the support they require.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to nurture students’ academic, social, and emotional growth.

• Create a positive, inclusive classroom where every student feels safe, valued, and encouraged.

• Inspire resilience, confidence, and a love for learning through innovative and adaptable teaching methods.

What We’re Looking For:

• A qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS) with experience in delivering core subjects.

• Prior experience working with SEMH students, or a strong desire to develop in this area.

• Ability to build meaningful relationships with students, staff, and families.

• A compassionate, patient, and flexible approach to teaching.

• Excellent behaviour management skills and a commitment to restorative practices.
